This
range of sizes gives you the choice to choose the
correct diameter that is nearest to the thickness
of the mortar you are proposing to remove. Typical
applications are re-pointing brickwork, replacing
lead flashing 8mm x 50mm and removing single bricks
that are either damaged and need to be replaced or
for fitting air bricks. The ideal tool for this application
is the 8mm x 150mm Long Series. |

Traditional
Methods of Raking & Chasing.
In the past this type of work would have been very
labour intensive as it would have been done with a
brick bolster and chisel. More recently mini grinders
with the standard rotating carborundum or diamond
discs would be used. The disadvantage of this method
is that it creates huge amounts of dust and can damage
the brickwork.
